PostHeaderIcon Modernise Your Home For a Greater Sense of Comfort

There are many reasons why people will choose to remodel their home, whether it is to generate a higher property value, to make their home more comfortable or even just to stamp a bit of their personality on their property. The great thing about home improvements and decorating is that they can cost as little or as much as you can comfortably afford. Some people opt to merely rearrange furniture and either paint or put up new wallpaper to refresh their homes interior, whereas others will knock down dividing walls or build extensions.

There are lots of different parts to your home that can be updated or refreshed and the end result is that you can enjoy living in your home a little bit more as well as possibly adding to your property’s value which could come in handy if in the future you decide to move. Property value is important as your home is considered an investment and as you increase the property value the more money you’ll make off of selling your house, allowing you to buy a bigger or more impressive house.

One way to improve your home that has become increasingly popular is modernising it. Modernising can be simply updating the décor or it could be adding interesting gadgets or appliances. One of the key parts of a house to modernise is the kitchen. There are many kitchen gadgets that you can buy now that not only make your kitchen look good but can make cooking and storing food much easier. A prime example is the wine cooler, many homes have had wine racks over the years but now dedicated coolers can keep your favourite drinks at the perfect temperature.

Even appliances such as dishwashers have been relatively new appliances that are now almost as standard as washing machines and the kitchen sink! If you are interested in these or any other home improvements that you can think of that would make your home a bit more comfortable then check with your local tradesmen and builders to find out whether you can get the improvements you want at a good price.

PostHeaderIcon radical face – welcome Home (guitar tutorial)

I sometimes have people write me asking for tabs or sheet music for my songs. I never have any, because I use a form of shorthand I made up a long time ago, and it’s no help to anyone but me. So I figured the easiest way around this was to shoot a series of little tutorials in my kitchen, or in my shed. I’ve never done this before, so I’m not sure how clear or concise I’ll be, but I’ll do my best. If you’d like to request a tutorial for a specific song, write me an e-mail through my website (www.radicalface.com) and I’ll add it to the list.

Please subscrobe The White Stripes In the Cold, Cold Night I saw you standing in the corner On the edge of a burning light I saw you standing in the corner Come to me again in the cold, cold night You make me feel a little older Like a full grown woman might But when you’re gone I grow colder Come to me again in the cold, cold night I see you walking by my front door I hear the creaking of the kitchen floor I don’t care what other people say I’m going to love you, anyway Come to me again in the cold, cold night I can’t stand it any longer I need the fuel to make my fire burn bright So don’t fight it any longer Come to me again in the cold, cold night And I know that you feel it too When my skin turns into glue You will know that it’s warm inside And you’ll come run to me, in the cold, cold night

PostHeaderIcon Dire Straits – Money for Nothing

Dire Straits were a British rock band, formed by Mark Knopfler (vocals and lead guitar), his younger brother David Knopfler (rhythm guitar and vocals), John Illsley (bass guitar and vocals), and Pick Withers (drums and percussion), and managed by Ed Bicknell, active between 1977 and 1995. Although the band was formed in an era when punk rock was at the forefront, Dire Straits played a more conventional style, albeit with a stripped-down sound that appealed to audiences weary of the overproduced stadium rock of the 1970s. In their early days, Mark and David requested that pub owners turn down their sound so that patrons could converse while the band played, an indication of their unassuming demeanor. Despite this oddly self-effacing approach to rock and roll, Dire Straits soon became hugely successful, with their first album going multi-platinum globally. ________________________________________ Now look at them yo-yo’s that’s the way you do it You play the guitar on the MTV That ain’t workin’ that’s the way you do it Money for nothin’ and chicks for free Now that ain’t workin’ that’s the way you do it Lemme tell ya them guys ain’t dumb Maybe get a blister on your little finger Maybe get a blister on your thumb We gotta install microwave ovens Custom kitchen deliveries We gotta move these refrigerators We gotta move these colour TV’s See the little faggot with the earring and the makeup Yeah buddy that’s his own hair That little faggot got his own jet airplane That little

PostHeaderIcon Maangchi’s mapa tofu

www.maangchi.com Mapa tofu is also called “mapo tofu” or “mapo doufu.” It’s one of the most popular Chinese-Korean dishes in Korea along with jjajangmyeon (blackbean noodles) and tangsuyuk (sweet and sour pork/beef). Koreans call this dish “mapadubu.” Every family seems to have their own version of mapadubu. I use chicken breast but you could use pork or beef. If you’re a vegetarian, you could use mushrooms instead of meat. This is my version of mapa tofu, I hope you enjoy it! If you make this recipe, upload a photo of your dish to my website: www.maangchi.com Ingredients: 1 package of tofu, chicken breast, green onions, green chili pepper, red chili pepper, dried red chili peppers, ground black pepper, carrot, onion, walnuts, garlic, ginger, vegetable oil, sesame oil, oyster sauce, and potato starch powder. Cooking time: 40-50 minutes Directions (makes 2-4 servings): 1. Take the tofu (14 oz: 400 grams) out of the package and rinse it in cold water. Pat dry with a kitchen towel or cotton cloth. 2. Cut it into ½ inch cubes and set aside. 3. Cut ½ pound (about 230 grams) of chicken breast into ½ inch cubes and set aside. 4.
