Young Guns: Kristi Noem
Reps. Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan and Kevin McCarthy have a new book out called Young Guns: A New Generation of Conservative Leaders, and they have a video to promote it.
This is what Amazon says about the book:
Make no mistake: Congressmen Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan, and Kevin McCarthy are proud Republicans. But they believe the party had lost sight of the ideals it believes in, like economic freedom, limited government, the sanctity of life, and putting families first. This isn’t your grandfather’s Republican party. These Young Guns of the House GOP—Cantor (the leader), Ryan (the thinker), and McCarthy (the strategist)—are ready to take their belief in the principles that have made America great and translate it into solutions that will make the future even better, solutions that will create private sector jobs, maximize individual freedom, and establish a better world for our children. This groundbreaking book is a call to action that sets forth a plan for growth, opportunity, and commitment that will propel this country to prosperity once again. Together, the Young Guns are changing the face of the Republican party and giving us a new road map back to the American dream.
Yeah, the video is a little cheesy (as it’s been called elsewhere) and possibly a little over-dramatic. But Americans can only hope these conservatives take their mandate to govern constitutionally as serious as the tone of the video.
We already know that the self-centered, narcissistic socialist bent of the Democrat Party has nearly destroyed this great country; there’s no point in discussing that further here.
But for too long the GOP has been infested with RINOs who are only a shade or two better. And the “leadership” the GOP has suffered under in both houses of congress for years hasn’t helped anything, either.
My sincere hope is that after Republicans win back control of the House and Senate, when they elect leadership for the coming session, they ditch the bozos who have been running things.
Mitch McConnell isn’t too bad of a guy in the Senate, but he’s not too good either. He has to go (out of GOP leadership, that is). Replace him with South Dakota’s own Senator John Thune, or perhaps Senator Jim DeMint of South Carolina. The GOP–and certainly the country–can’t afford half-hearted (I was tempted to cite half of another part of the anatomy) leadership, especially not right now. As the second video below points out, McConnell has already lost most of his RINO/mealy-mouthed leadership team; he needs to go, too. He has barely been able to mount an effective and credible challenge to the socialists in congress–even when the Tea Party and millions of American patriots have handed him support on a silver platter in the past year and a half.
And in the House, John Boehner…that guy has to GO. He’s as useful as a shovel for a paperweight. He may be a “good guy,” but he’s one of the most useless congressional leaders I can imagine. He has zero strength, zero determination, and the opposition takes him zero seriously. He’s about as serious as Mr. Rogers, and appears only half as competent. Replace him with one of these “Young Guns” like Cantor or Ryan…or Michele Bachmann! We need someone with solid conservative values and fire in the belly, not a bumbler like Boehner.
South Dakota’s GOP candidate Kristi Noem is in the class of “Young Guns” as you see from the screen print above and video below. She’ll be too new to consider for congressional GOP leadership…yet. But she has the solid conservative values necessary to help one of the more experienced “Young Guns” take the reins of leadership and get the ship of America back on course. And she’s already served as Assistant Majority Leader in the South Dakota House of Representatives, so she has a lot of leadership potential to move fast once she’s elected. Remember, it didn’t take Senator John Thune long to work his way up, and he’s the #3 Republican in the Senate in his first term.
Let’s get here, November! Time’s a-wastin’!
